      Abstract
This data repository contains the processed lidar metrics for characterizing the vegetation structure within wetlands. The lidar metrics were derived from Airborne Laser Scanning (ALS) data in the Netherlands. To pre-process the country-wide ALS data for the Netherlands (AHN3: https://downloads.pdok.nl/ahn3-downloadpage/ ) we used laserchicken python package (https://zenodo.org/record/3836593#.XutyQGgzaUk). The scripts regarding the lidar data pre-processing step is avaialble under https://github.com/eEcoLiDAR/Laserfarm/tree/2020_01_status_quo. The horizontal metrics were calculated using the R scripts published in https://github.com/eEcoLiDAR/Niche_separation_wetland_ALS/tree/master/data_analysis/lidar_process repository.
