Mathematical psychologyAbstract
Discusses a theory developed to explain which components are involved in the reaction time (RT) curve of concentration tests (e.g., Bourdon Wiersma Test) and how they manifest themselves in a time series. The theory is presented in the form of a model that is an extension of the so-called Poisson Erlang model. It is maintained that the presented model is based on C. Spearman's (1927) and C. L. Hull's (1951) hypothesis that something like inhibition increases during work and decreases during rest.
