The Nuclear Agreement between Iran and 5+1: Realities and Prospects

Abstract

The reactions and opinions of Iranian politicians, political and economic analysts, scholars and ordinary people are mixed about this “nuclear deal”. By the virtue of the recent agreement Iran gave up everything and in return got access only to a tiny share of its own frozen assets in banks; seemingly only $ 4.2 billion. The sanctions on the banking and money transfer systems, which has paralyzed the Iranian economy and healthcare system and had brought about severe humanitarian consequences, were not lifted. The sanctions against purchasing new airplanes, which also have cost human lives, were also not lifted.
