The data set contains the responses of a survey among 361 journal editors about their journal's peer review procedures. Based on an inventory peer review procedures listing 12 dimensions of review it asks editors to indicate how their journal organizes review with respect to each of these dimensions and whether this has changed since this year 2000. The study was done in the context of a research project aiming to assess the effectiveness of different review procedures in flagging problematic publications as well as the extent in which novel and innovative review formats have been implemented across journals.
