Dynamics of culture and powerAbstract
This paper reviews the results of the research carried out that a group of German scholars and scientists has carried out with the Eipo, in the eastern highlands of West Papua, Indonesia. Their work started in the mid- 1970’s and has not been completely finalised so far. The research aimed at a comprehensive documentation of the way of life of the Eipo. This aim required the interdisciplinarity that characterised the project, although anthropology was the central discipline. It also required the production of a large body of maps, photographs and films. I add to the review a list of the published results.
