| Abstract: | A nearly 7-year-old boy suffered from psychosocial problems because of aplasia of the left auricle. The auricle aplasia was a symptom of the VATER association. It was decided to conduct a purely problem-oriented treatment in preparing an auricle prosthesis, firmly fixed using an adhesive. Wearing the auricle prosthesis, the boy improved very quickly and substantially in being more free and self-confident. |
